The HDR5050C is a closed wire rave hook designed for 50mm webbing. The length of the hook is 60mm and the diameter of the hook will allow it to fit on to a 17mm bar; the hook is made from 10.6mm diameter wire. The rave hook is used extensively in the manufacture of lorry straps and is manufactured by GTF® in its wholly owned factory in Noida, India (www.gtcfi.com). The hook is made from boron alloy steel which gives it extra strength and durability. It has a breaking strength (BS) of 5000Kg. The HDR5050C is based on the popular HDR5050 and HDR5050B hooks, the main difference is that the wire prongs of the HDR5050C are turned inwards and welded together to make a continuous hook.
The rave hook meets the requirements of the European Load Restraint Legislation Standard EN12195-2:2001 which requires the hook to have a lashing capacity (LC) of 25kN. This capacity is stamped on the hook together with the part number HDR5050B and batch number therefore offering full traceability.
The HDR5050B rave hook is used in our range of 50mm ratchet straps. and as the name suggest fits onto the side rave of a vehicle or the chassis. GTF also make different styles of rave hooks to fit different sizes of webbing and made ones made from pressed steel.
